Michael P. Verni, MD, FACS
After graduating Cum Laude from the University of California, Davis in Biochemistry, Dr. Michael Verni went on to study at the prestigious George Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in adult and pediatric urology.
Dr. Verni is one of Las Vegasą premier Urologists and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He has several appointments including: Touro University Assistant Clinical Professor, Nevada Cancer Institute Adjunct Staff, Chief Urology Section Mountain View Hospital, and Clark County Medical Society Board of Trustees. He is also dedicated to his health community and is a member of several medical associations. Some of these prominent societies include: American Urologic Association, Endourological Society, and the American Medical Association. For his medical efforts, Dr. Verni has received numerous awards including the Pfizer Scholars in Urology in 2000. He has also published and presented medical research in several conferences and learning facilities internationally.
In between treating his patients, Dr. Verni still finds time for his family and favorite activities. He is married to Dr. Ronnette Cyka, another distinguished physician in Las Vegas. Finally, call him a sports junkie if you will, Dr. Verni enjoys playing ice hockey, soccer, cycling, golf, and swimming.
Jim D. Crowley, MD
Dr. Jim D. Crowley is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology with over 13 years of Urological Surgery experience. A graduate of Brigham Young University, Dr. Crowley earned his medical degree at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Much of his training was accomplished at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center. Dr. Crowley received his urology residency training in San Antonio, Texas at the combined U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and University of Texas San Antonio health consortium. After treating patients at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas for 7 years, he came to the Urology Center to expand his opportunity to serve the people of Southern Nevada.
He has participated in the training of medical students and residents as an Associate Professor of Urology, Uniformed Services University, UT San Antonio and Touro University in Las Vegas. With a focus on Laparoscopic and Endoscopic surgery of the genitourinary system, Dr. Crowley became the first urologist in the Air Force to be certified for use of the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System. Acting as primary or assistant surgeon in over 200 Robotic Prostatectomies, Dr. Crowley has extensive experience in use of this technology.
Dr. Crowley is married to Amy Sampson Crowley and has 6 children. He speaks English and Spanish fluently. His favorite things about Las Vegas are the warm winters and the sense of community found in the Las Vegas Valley.
